SMH - Chapter Twenty-Four: Part One

“What are you doing today?” Niall asked, looking at Lindsay who was knelt in front of her suitcase, trying to find something to where for the day.  It was almost eight-thirty the next morning, September 4th, and Lindsay and Niall had both woken up ridiculously early thanks to jetlag.

Now, Niall was laying on Lindsay’s bed in a t-shirt and sweatpants, before he went off to rehearsals, and Lindsay was getting ready to see Amelia, one of her closest friends who had moved to LA for her gap year.

“Uh, I’m dropping round to Amelia’s new flat, and that’s all I know; she says she has surprises for me, so I’m a bit scared.” Lindsay sighed, pulling out some clothes for the day.

“Everyone loves a surprise,” Niall chuckled, throwing his iPhone up and down over his head while he lay with his head on Lindsay’s pillows.  Just then, his iPhone missed his hands and smacked his forehead.

“Besides that one!” Lindsay laughed as Niall cursed and rubbed his forehead.  “Get ice from the bucket and put it on your forehead, you knob, you don’t need a black eye before your performance!”

Niall chuckled and cursed once more as he walked over to the ice bucket, which Lindsay had filled with ice.  Lindsay grabbed a washcloth from the bathroom and tossed it at him, before closing the bathroom door to get changed.

Lindsay slid into her mint green bikini, which had a bandeau-style top and slid her clothes over top. She was wearing a black silk t-shirt tucked into high-waisted denim shorts and black t-strap gladiator sandals.  She had showered early that morning and her golden blonde waves were middle-parted, straight, and down and she wore a bit of concealer under her eyes and a layer of mascara.

Lindsay walked out of her bedroom and smiled as she saw Niall sitting on the bed, with ice over his forehead.  “Are you alright?” Lindsay asked, gently moving his hand and the ice away from the slightly red skin.

“Better now,” Niall said, looking at Lindsay in her shorts and her long, thing legs.  Lindsay laughed, shaking her head and placed his hand and the ice back on his forehead.  “You look amazing.” He breathed.

“Thanks,” Lindsay smiled.  She grabbed her white and walked back over to where Niall was sitting on her bed.  “Smile!” She laughed, flipping the camera on.

Niall frowned, still holding the ice over her forehead, as Lindsay snapped a photo.  She laughed as she locked her phone.  Lindsay heard a knock on her door and she walked over, opening it, without even checking the peep-hole to see who it was.  They had said that they had the whole floor to themselves, so she didn’t think twice.

“Good morning!” Lindsay laughed as she saw Louis standing in the hallway.

“Morning, love,” Louis smiled.  “Is Niall in here?” He asked.  Lindsay nodded and gestured towards the bed, where Niall was seated with his ice.  Louis cracked up as soon as he saw his bandmate.  “Mate, what the fuck did you do?  Wild time with Lindsay?”

“Not exactly,” Niall laughed.  Lindsay gestured for Louis to come in and he did, walking over to Niall.  “I was throwing my phone up and down and then it hit me.”

“I always knew you had bad hand-eye coordination!” Louis laughed as Niall removed the ice and revealed the slightly swollen spot just above his browbone.  “But, as much as I’d love to stay and laugh at your stupidity, we need to go.” He smiled.

“You’re such a dick,” Niall laughed, standing up.  “Have fun with Amelia and I’ll text you when I’m done so we can meet up.” He smiled, side-hugging Lindsay.

“Alright!” Lindsay exclaimed.  “Hope your eye is okay!  Have fun at rehearsal boys, smash it!” She laughed as Louis wrapped his arm around Niall’s shoulders.

“Bye, Lindsay!” Louis called, closing the door behind him.  Lindsay walked over to the closet that was in her room and opened the door, where she had found out that there was a full-length mirror on the inside of the door.  She observed her appearance and smiled.

Lindsay held her iPhone out in front of her, with the front camera on, and snapped a quick photo.  She uploaded it onto Instagram with the caption ‘Moooorning’ before grabbing a bottle of Fiji water from the mini-fridge.

Lindsay was meant to be meeting Amelia at her new flat at nine, so she decided it was okay to leave then.  Lindsay grabbed her Celine wallet that was black with a strip of neon yellow on the bottom, and slid her room key into one of the credit card slots.  She also grabbed her black Ray Ban Clubmater sunglasses and headed out the door.

Lindsay was curious as to what the surprise was, but she was also extremely excited.  Amelia was always someone to keep you on your toes and she was always fun, so Lindsay could only imagine the surprise was going to be amazing.

Lindsay made her way down to the lobby and once she was there, she walked over to the front desk.  She wasn’t quite sure how to get a cab in Los Angeles, and the front desk had said they could call her one whenever she wanted, so she decided it was best to just have them do it for her.

“Good morning, miss, what can I do for you?” The man asked.

“I need a cab to 1010 Wilshire,” Lindsay smiled, recalling Amelia’s new apartment complex.  The man nodded and swiftly called her a cab.  Lindsay smiled.  “Thank you so much!”

EAY - Chapter Sixty-Five: Part One

“Mmm,” Charlotte mumbled sleepily as she rolled over and reached for Harry’s warm, sleeping body.  Her eyes immediately shot open when she didn’t touch him, but smiled when she saw him sitting on the white chaise in the corner of her room on his laptop.

“Morning, babe,” Harry smiled, closing the laptop.  “Jet lag’s got to me, so I’ve been up for a while.” He chuckled, laying down next to Charlotte and kissing her on the forehead.  “It’s only five o’clock and I didn’t want to go out of your room for fear of waking your parents.”

Charlotte smiled and wrapped her arms around Harry’s torso, pulling him closer.  She snuggled into his neck and inhaled the fresh scent of soap.  “You showered?” She asked, laughing.

“Yes,” Harry responded, smoothing her hair.  “I told you I’ve been up for a while, so I decided at least to get ready.”

“Aw,” Charlotte laughed, tracing circles on his arm.  “Everyone loved you last night.” She smiled to herself.  The previous night, Charlotte, Harry, Lindsay, Jack, Rose, and Simon had all gone to dinner and then gone back to Charlotte’s house to catch up some more.

The whole group seemed to adore Harry, who apparently charmed him, and the thought made Charlotte smile.  She was happy that everyone seemed to like Harry as much as she did, just as she had expected.

“Are we going to meet Lindsay and Jack still?” Harry asked.

“Yes,” Charlotte nodded.  “They wanted to meet around nine.” She said.  “We got a while.” She laughed, unraveling herself from his arms and standing up.  “I’m going to shower and then we’ll go for a walk by ourselves.” She smiled.

Harry grinned, nodding, and watched as she walked into her bathroom, closing the door behind her.  She turned the water and sighed, smiling to herself.  She was so happy to be back in New York, and she could already tell she wasn’t going to be happy to leave.

“It’s cold out,” Charlotte laughed, grabbing Harry’s hand.  It was a little after seven in the morning and she had showered, dressed, and gotten ready for the day.

She was wearing a black silk dress that had white polka dots on it and three-quarter-length sleeves, black opaque tights, black Chelsea boots, and a green Topshop parka that had fur lining.  Her chestnut hair was softly curled and the top layer was pinned to the back of her head.

“Obviously,” Harry laughed, shaking his head and squeezing her hand.  He was wearing a fur-lined denim jacket over a navy sweater and dark was jeans, and a navy beanie.  He kept looking around, probably wondering if anyone had spotted him.

“It’s seven in the morning, Harry,” Charlotte smiled.  “I don’t think you have to worry about any fans or paps.” She said, kissing his cheek.  Harry shook his head and grinned, squeezing her hand again.

“Just making sure,” He laughed.  Charlotte smiled.  Harry was always so protective of her when paps and fans were around, because he knew how harsh people could be when they saw photos of the two together.

Charlotte had grown to ignore the rude comments, but at times she’d read them and it still hurt.  One could only endure so much before they snapped.  But, luckily, Harry was always there to talk about it and assure her that everything was going to be okay.

Everything About You - Chapter Sixty-Four: Part Three

“When do you guys leave?” Jack asked, running a hand through his dark hair.  Lindsay, Jack, Harry, Charlotte, Rose, and Simon had just eaten dinner and were now sitting around their table at Soho House, catching up.

“The 24th,” Charlotte responded.  “I have to go back to college, so I can’t take too much time off, but I’ll have a while for Christmas break, so I’ll be here for most of it.  Plus, flights doubled in price on the 25th and I just found that ridiculous.”

“Yay!” Lindsay clapped her hands, smiling.  “Harry, will we be seeing you around the holidays?” She asked, raising her eyebrow.

“I’m sure I’ll make an appearance,” Harry smiled, nodding.  “That is, if I’m invited.”

“Well, you’re always welcome at my home.” Simon said.  Charlotte furrowed her brows as Rose elbowed him under the table.  It was clear she was trying to be nonchalant, but it didn’t work out that well.  “Our home, I mean.” He smiled, turning bright red.

Charlotte nodded, smiling, and brushed off that odd comment.  “Thank you, that’s very lovely.” Harry smiled, oblivious to the tension between the two.  Charlotte had noticed that Rose and Simon were awfully awkward around each other, but she just assumed it was because it was the first time Charlotte had introduced them to a boy, and they wanted to make it they were perfect.

“For Thanksgiving, are you guys coming over or…?” Charlotte asked, looking at Jack and Lindsay.  It was a tradition for Charlotte’s family, Jack’s family, and Lindsay’s family to eat at Charlotte’s house, and the event had been ongoing since they were babies.

“Of course,” Lindsay nodded.  “We wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She smiled.

The waitress brought over the check and set it down in the middle of the table.  “I’ll take that when you’re ready, thank you so much and have a great evening.” She smiled, walking away from the table.

Harry quickly reached for it and slid his credit card into the slot.  “Harry, no, you don’t have to do that.” Simon quickly butted in.

“I want to,” Harry smiled, nodding and closing the check.

“At least go half with me,” Simon said, smiling pleasantly.  Harry shook his head and clutched the bill tightly.  “Seriously Harry.” He chuckled.  Harry clutched it even tighter and winked.

“I’ve got it.” Harry smiled.  “It’s the least I can do for allowing me to stay in your house.”

“Well, thank you, Harry,” Simon smiled.  “That’s very nice of you.”

“You’re welcome.” Harry nodded, taking a sip of his water.  “It’s my pleasure.” He said, handing the waitress the bill.  She quickly scampered away to run the card.

The whole table thanked Harry, who smiled and nodded.  Charlotte sat back in her chair and grinned at him.  He truly was charming, sweet, and such an amazing boyfriend and there was no wonder why everyone adored him.

Stole My Heart - Chapter Twenty-Three: Part One

Before seeing Niall, Lindsay stopped by her room and quickly changed out of her jeans into a pair of acid-wash denim shorts and into her ‘Duke’ University t-shirt that her brother had gotten when he had toured the college in the states a few months ago.

She tucked the top into the shorts and slid on her black T-strap gladiator sandals and made her way across the hall to Niall’s room.  She had just met Danielle and Lindsay thought she was very pretty and lovely.

Lindsay knocked on Niall’s hotel room door, and took a deep breath, waiting for him to open it.  Within seconds, the door was open and Niall was stood there, grinning at her.  “Hey,” He breathed, running a hand through his hair.

“Hi!” Lindsay laughed.  They wrapped their arms around each other tightly and Lindsay smiled, inhaling the familiar scent of his cologne.  It had been a short while since she had seen him, and she actually did miss him.  “How are you?”

“Fine, thanks,” Niall smiled as they pulled away.  “How are you?  Was your flight okay?”

“I’m good, thank you,” Lindsay smiled.  “And, yes, my flight was actually very nice, thanks!” She said.  “How was rehearsal?” She asked, walking into his room behind him, as he grabbed something off of his bed.

“It was good, thanks,” Niall replied, nodding.   “I’m getting nervous for the big day, but I’m just happy you’re here.”

“You’re going to do great, just like always,” Lindsay smiled.  “And, aw, I’m happy to be here.  Thanks again for everything, really, I’m excited about it all.” She laughed, watching Niall fumble to put his shoes on.

“No problem, Lindsay,” Niall said, meaning it.  “Do you want to go eat?  I’m starved.”

“Sure!” Lindsay laughed.

“Los Angeles is so lovely,” Lindsay smiled, taking a bite of her French fry.  Niall and Lindsay were at In N Out Burger, which was only a few minutes away from their hotel and they were sat opposite each other in a table by the window.

“It is,” Niall nodded, taking a bite of his burger.  “It’s one of my favorite places to come, it’s so nice and the weather is completely opposite of London, so it’s always great when I get to be in the sun.” He laughed.

“I could imagine!” Lindsay smiled.  “All the rain does alter your mood once in a while!”

“Yeah it does,” Niall nodded.  “It’s always nice to get away from it when you can,” He chuckled, popping a fry into his mouth.  “Anyways, I have rehearsal from nine to twelve tomorrow, but I feel bad that you flew all the way out here and I have rehearsal for hours.”

“Niall, don’t feel bad,” Lindsay smiled.  “I understand; you’re fine.  Don’t worry about me, I’ll just ring Amelia and see if she wants to meet up for a bit!”

“I just feel bad,” Niall laughed.  “But, it would be nice for you to see your friend.”

“Yeah,” Lindsay smiled.  “Maybe when you’re done rehearsal, you can meet up with us – I’m sure she’d love to meet you!” Lindsay suggested, taking a sip of her water.  Niall grinned at her.

“I’d love to meet her too,” Niall nodded.  “Just let me know where you will be.”

“Will do.” Lindsay nodded, smiling.  Niall’s eyes lingered on Lindsay as she smiled.  She was thrilled to be in California, but what mattered was who she was with – Niall, and she wouldn’t have rather been with anyone else.

“Where are Liam, Louis, Danielle, and Eleanor?” Zayn asked, propping his feet up on the coffee table in Niall’s hotel room.  It was nearly ten o’clock at night, and Lindsay, Niall, Zayn, and Harry were all sitting in Niall’s room, chatting.

“Probably in their rooms,” Harry responded, shrugging.

“Doing whatever couples do,” Niall winked playfully.  Lindsay laughed, shaking her head and setting her iPhone down in her lap.  “They’ve decided to go for a boring night in probably braiding each other’s hair.”

“I’m sure that’s exactly what they’re doing,” Zayn chuckled, shaking his head.

“Zayn, where’s Perrie?” Lindsay asked.  Perrie was the only one of the boys’ girlfriends that was missing, and she was curious as to where she was.  Zayn frowned and looked down at his lap and the first thing that came to her mind was that they had broken up and Lindsay had just hit a weak spot.  “Oh, I’m sorry!” Lindsay exclaimed, blushing.

Zayn looked up and grinned at Lindsay.  “Jokes,” Zayn smiled.  “She’s just busy with work, that’s all!” He laughed as he saw relief of Lindsay’s face.

“Oh, alright!” Lindsay laughed.  “I honestly felt horrible!”  The group laughed and Zayn grinned.  Lindsay yawned and checked her iPhone for the time – ten o’clock on the dot.  “I think I’m headed off to bed!” Lindsay exclaimed, stretching out her legs on Niall’s bed.

“You’re leaving the party?” Zayn asked, his eyes wide.

“Sadly, I am,” Lindsay laughed.  “Goodnight lads!” She smiled, standing up.  Niall’s eyes never strayed from her and she noticed, which made her blush just a light shade of pink.  “Have fun at rehearsal tomorrow boys if I don’t see you before then!”

“Will do!” Harry laughed.  “Goodnight girrrrrrl,” He said in an American accent.

Lindsay laughed, rolling her eyes.  “’Night, Lindsay,” Niall grinned, his eyes bright.

“Bye Niall’s ‘night’ he means that he wants to shag you because he thinks your fit and he fancies you!” Zayn called after her as she made her way to the door.  Lindsay laughed and shook her head, without turning back.  “Goodnight!” Zayn yelled as Lindsay closed the door behind her.

She had had a lovely time in Los Angeles so far, and she was extremely excited to be there for a few more days, and to see Amelia the next day.  And she knew Niall and Amelia would get on well, so she couldn’t wait for them all to meet.

Everything About You - Chapter Sixty-Four: Part Two

“This way,” The hostess smiled as she lead Harry, Charlotte, Rose, and Simon to their reserved table for dinner.  The four had just arrived at the Soho House for dinner and Charlotte was beyond happy to be back at her favorite restaurant.

Harry pulled Charlotte’s seat out for her and she sat down in it, smoothing her playsuit as she pulled it in.  “Thank you,” She smiled at Harry who took his seat next to her.  Just then, Charlotte heard familiar voices behind her.

Charlotte whipped her head around and saw her two best friends – Jack and Lindsay – heading her way with huge smiles on their faces.  “Oh my God!” Charlotte shrieked, scraping her chair back and throwing her arms around Lindsay.  “Hi!” She said, tears stinging her eyes.  She had missed her friends more than anything and she was so happy to see them.

“How are you?” Lindsay asked, squeezing Charlotte tight.  “I’ve missed you so much.”

“I’m good, thank you!” Charlotte grinned.  “I’ve missed you too!” She said as the two pulled away.  “And you, Jack!  Hi!” She said, embracing Jack.  “Did you guys know we were going to be here?”

“Your parents may or may not have told us,” Jack winked.

“Aw,” Charlotte smiled, looking at her parents who were both beaming.  “Lindsay, Jack, this is Harry, my boyfriend,” Charlotte smiled, gesturing to Harry who was now standing.  “Harry, these are my best friends, Jack and Lindsay.”

As Harry, Lindsay, and Jack exchanged ‘nice to meet yous’ Charlotte reclaimed her seat.  Lindsay and Jack also sat down, both smiling brightly.  “I really am so happy to see you two, it’s been way too long.”

“You’re telling me,” Lindsay laughed.  “I’ve practically tore myself up counting down till you came back.  You don’t even understand.”

“Aw,” Charlotte smiled.  “So, what have you two been doing?” She asked.

“We got a puppy,” Jack chuckled.  “She’s a pug named Mops, just like you’ve always wanted!” He winked at Charlotte.

“Oh my God, yes, like in Marie Antoinette!” Charlotte exclaimed, her eyes bright.  “That’s genius, I need to meet her!” She clapped her hands together and grinned happily.

“Yes, we named her that in memory of you,” Jack laughed.  “But, yes, you can meet her tomorrow.” He smiled.  “Do you two want to meet up in Central Park to take her for a walk tomorrow morning?”

Charlotte looked at Harry who nodded, smiling.  “Yes, that sounds perfect.”

“So, Harry, I must comment on how talented you are,” Jack began.  “I’ve been watching some videos of you guys online and have downloaded your songs on iTunes.  I never thought I’d say this, but I’m a boyband fan!” He laughed.

“Glad to hear it, mate,” Harry chuckled.  “Thank you.”

“Of course.” Jack nodded, smiling.  Charlotte looked around the table and grinned to herself.  All of her favorite people at one table, it was utterly perfect, and she was so thankful they were all there.

Everything About You - Chapter Sixty-Four: Part One

“Mom!” Charlotte grinned, setting her Longchamp bag down and embracing Rose tightly.

“I’ve missed you so much, Char, it’s been lonely without you here!” Rose cooed, rubbing Charlotte’s back.  Just then, Simon, Charlotte’s father, came running into the foyer with a huge smile on his face.

“Dad!” Charlotte exclaimed, releasing her mother and running to Simon.  “I’ve missed you guys!” She smiled, as her father lifted her up, swinging her around.  “It’s so nice to be back!”

“It’s nice to have you back, gorgeous,” Simon beamed.  “You look just as pretty as when you left!”

“Thank you,” Charlotte smiled, kissing her father on the cheek as he set her back down on the ground.  “Mom, Dad, this is Harry, my boyfriend.” Charlotte smiled, gesturing to Harry, who held his hand out for Rose and Simon.  “Harry, this is my mom, Rose, and my dad, Simon.”

“It’s is so lovely to finally meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Kingsley.” Harry smiled.

“Please, call me Rose!” Charlotte’s mom trilled.  “And, it’s so great to finally meet you!  I’ve heard a lot of good things about you!” Rose grinned, shaking Harry’s hand.

“It’s nice to meet you too, but please call me Simon, Mr. Kingsley makes me feel old.” Simon smiled, shaking Harry’s hand as well.  “It’s not often that Charlotte brings guys home, actually this is a first.” He said, winking.  “I’m glad to have you here.  I’ve made a nice bed for you on the couch.” He said firmly.

“Dad,” Charlotte said.

“I’m joking, of course.” Simon chuckled.  “I never thought I’d say this, but you’re free to stay in Char’s room, she’s said enough good things about you and you two seem pretty serious.”

“We are, Simon,” Harry nodded.  “You have an amazing daughter, she’s perfect.”

“Aw,” Charlotte laughed as Harry wrapped his arm around her waist.

“Anyways, are you two hungry?” Rose asked, raising an eyebrow.  “I was thinking Soho House for dinner, I know that’s Char’s favorite.” She smiled sweetly.

“Starved, thank you,” Harry responded as Charlotte nodded.

“Well, how about you two go put your suitcases away and freshen up and we’ll leave then,” Rose said, smoothing her blonde hair.  Harry and Charlotte nodded and she led him up the stairs to her bedroom, while he carried both of their suitcases.

Charlotte smiled as she saw her old bedroom, which had grey carpet, white walls, and pale yellow accents.  It smelled just like she had remembered – like apples and lemon.  Charlotte grinned as she plopped down on her bed.

“I told you they’d like you,” Charlotte smiled.

“They just met me,” Harry said.  “But I hope when they really get to know me, that they will like me.” He smiled, pulling his white t-shirt over his head and unzipping his luggage to get changed.

“They will,” Charlotte reassured him again, sliding herself off the bed and unzipping her suitcase.  She had had all of her clothes shipped to London when she had moved there, so she did still have to pack a suitcase even when she was going back to her proper home.

“The Soho House is something like the Shoreditch house, right?” Harry asked.  “Like a members-only club.”

“Yes,” Charlotte nodded.  Harry looked back down at his suitcase and pulled out a grey button-down and another pair of dark wash jeans.  Charlotte grabbed a black playsuit which left the majority of her legs exposed, so she pulled on a pair of black pantyhose, and a cream blazer.

Charlotte quickly changed and headed to the bathroom to wash her face.  She applied a light layer of makeup and pinned the top layer of her loose chestnut waves to the back of her head.  It was simple, yet she looked stunning.

“Harry!  Charlotte!” Rose called from outside the door.  “We’re leaving in five minutes!”

Charlotte spritzed herself with perfume and slid her feet into her Topshop ankle boots that had a small, thick heel.  She walked out of the bathroom to find Harry sitting on her bed, looking as attractive as ever.

“You look beautiful, babe,” Harry smiled, standing up and kissing Charlotte on the cheek.  “Ready?” He asked.  Charlotte nodded and the two headed downstairs to join her parents.  She was excited to go to dinner and catch up with her parents.

Everything About You - Chapter Sixty-Three: Part Two

“Touchdown!” Harry exclaimed excitedly, watching the plane glide down the runway at LaGuardia Airport in New York City.  He was grinned happily and squeezing Charlotte’s knee at the same time.

“Yay!” Charlotte laughed, rubbing her bleary eyes.  She had pretty much slept the whole seven-hour flight, but waking up back in her hometown was definitely no cause for grumpiness.

Within a few minutes, Charlotte and Harry were outside the airport, waiting for a cab.  Harry had both of their suitcases beside him and Charlotte had just sent a ‘We’ve landed J’ text to her mom, her dad, Lindsay, Jack, Gemma, and Anne.

Charlotte expertly stuck her hand out and flagged the nearest cab down, grinning as it stopped.  Harry loaded the suitcases into the trunk, while Charlotte slid into the backseat and told the driver where to go.

Charlotte was beyond thrilled to be back in Manhattan, the place where she had been born and raised.  It was an amazing place, full of excitement and never-ending energy, and she could not wait to see her friends and her family.

It was about six o’clock in the evening in New York and the city lights were already bright, even though the sun was only just starting to set. “I’m so, so, so excited.” Charlotte grinned, clasping Harry’s hand in between hers.

“Me too,” Harry nodded, smiling softly.  He ran his other hand through his curls, making sure they were perfect, and watched as skyscraper after skyscraper passed by.  He had been to New York many times, yet this time he was with Charlotte, someone he loved more than anything and cared about.

Charlotte pulled her iPhone back out of her Longchamp bag and snapped a quick photo of the Manhattan street.  She put the photo onto Instagram with the caption, ‘Touched down in NYC J So good to be home!”

After a few more minutes of powering down the bustling New York streets, the cab came to a stop out front of the Kinsley’s apartment building.  They had an amazing apartment on the top floor that overlooked both Fifth Avenue and Central Park.  It was the only place Charlotte had ever lived, and it would always be ‘home’ no matter where she ended up living.

“Is this it?” Harry asked, paying for the fare.  Charlotte nodded and thanked the driver, before slipping out onto the sidewalk.  It was a beautiful day – the sun was setting and the sky was a mix of oranges and pinks, and the air was crisp with a slight breeze.

“Ready?” Charlotte asked, smiling as Harry lugged both of their suitcases behind him.  “Do you need help? She asked.  Harry shook his head, but smiled at her.

“I’m ready.” Harry breathed, following Charlotte into the reception area of their apartment building.  She smiled to the familiar receptionist and pressed the ‘up’ arrow on the elevator.  “I’m nervous.” He whispered.

“Don’t be,” Charlotte grinned, running her hand across Harry’s cheek. “They’re going to love you.” She smiled, kissing Harry’s smooth cheek.  The two loaded into the elevator and Charlotte pressed the ‘70’ button, which was the floor she lived on.

The elevator immediately shot up, and Charlotte watched as Harry wiped his hands on his pants.  She could tell he was nervous, but she knew he wouldn’t be once he saw how much her parents adored him.

The elevator slid open with a soft ding, and the two stepped out into the foyer.  It was round and had a black and white checkered floor with a grey suede round settee in the center, under a chandelier.  A spiral staircase was on the left, leading to the second floor.

“Charlotte!” Rose, her mother, called excitedly, quickly rushing into the room.

Everything About You - Chapter Sixty-Three: Part One

Soooo here it is :) After being on hiatus for months, EAY is back! Note: again, I have skipped a bit but nothing happened in between, so here you have it :) ENJOY and let me know if you like it xx

“Are you excited to see your family again?” Harry asked, squeezing Charlotte’s hand.  It was Monday, November 19th and Charlotte and Harry were about to jet off to New York City to spend Thanksgiving with Charlotte’s family.

It would be the first time Charlotte would be introducing a boyfriend to her family, and normally that thought would have terrified anyone, but Harry was so sweet and charming, she was sure her parents would adore him.

Harry, on the other hand, had said on multiple occasions how nervous he was to meet her family, but she kept reassuring him that they would love him, just as Harry had did when Charlotte had first properly met his family.

“I’m thrilled,” Charlotte smiled sweetly.  “It’s been over four months and I miss them more and more everyday.”

“Aw,” Harry smiled, kissing her forehead.  “When we get back, my family wants to see you again, so when you get a bit of free time from Uni, I’d love to bring you to Holmes Chapel, again.”

“Of course,” Charlotte nodded.  “I’d love to see them all again!”

“Cool,” Harry said, smiling at Charlotte.  “I’m excited to meet everyone in New York, I just hope that they like me as much as my family likes you.” He chuckled.

“Aw, they will!” Charlotte laughed.  “My mom’s been watching One Direction videos on YouTube nonstop, she’ll be your biggest fan, I’m sure of it!  And Jack, Lindsay, and my dad are happy as long as I’m happy!”

“That’s lovely,” Harry sighed, his eyes sparkling.  Charlotte’s iPhone beeped, signaling she had a text – it was from Gemma.  “Is that my sister?” He asked.  Charlotte nodded and unlocked her phone, reading the message.

It said, ‘Have fun in NYC with H J I miss you, so when you get back please take a roadtrip to HC! Tell my brother I said hiiiiiiii xxx P.S. Have a great flight!” Charlotte grinned and responded, ‘Thank youuu Gem! I’m planning on coming to see you guys soon, miss you tooooo! J Tell Anne and Robin I say hello!”

Charlotte locked her phone and set it in her lap, just as the intercom system announced that they could begin to board their flight.  Charlotte stood up, grabbing her black Longchamp bag.

Harry rested his hand on Charlotte’s lower back as the two made their way onto the plane, taking their seats at the very front of the plane, the only place Charlotte really felt safe.

Charlotte had only been on a plane a few times, and although she found it very exciting, it also scared her, and flying by herself was almost a nightmare.  Charlotte sent a quick text to her mom, her dad, Jack, Lindsay, Gemma, and Anne telling them that they had just boarded the flight and that she’d let them know when they landed.

She turned her phone off and slid it into her carryon.  She smoothed her outfit – which consisted of black American Apparel disco pants, a white Ralph Lauren t-shirt, and an orange American Apparel zip-up hoodie.

“Are you nervous?” Harry asked, aware that Charlotte was scared of flights.

“A little,” Charlotte laughed, honestly.  “But, I’m glad that I have you with me.” She said.

“I love you,” Harry grinned, leaning in and planting a quick kiss on Charlotte’s lips.

“I love you too,” Charlotte smiled softly.  Harry was amazing and their relationship was going perfectly.  She loved him more than she ever thought was capable of loving someone, and it was clear he felt the exact same way.
